  I am so impressed with Dr. "Butch" Martin. He really seems like the type of doctor who wants to get to the root cause of an issue, rather than simply throwing some pills at the problem based on numbers that he reads from your labwork. Of course I won't go into detail here, but I can tell you that you'll be in good hands. He took seriously some vague complaints that I was hesitant to even bring up at a routine visit (because I didn't want to sound like a whiner), ordered some tests, called me in to discuss the results of those tests in person, detailed a plan for further testing to fine-tune a diagnosis, and hasn't tried yet to send me to a specialist. Of course I may end up needing a specialist, who knows. My point is that he listened to me, ordered appropriate tests, discussed those tests results with me in person in a logical fashion that I could understand, and is ordering follow-up testing which will help to diagnose a problem that I would have probably chalked up to simply "being older and lazy". I feel confident that if I do end up with an official diagnosis of "Old and Lazy", it will be legitimate, and not because he hasn't been thorough in looking for other causes of my problems. P.S. I've never had a problem with any of his staff members. They're all friendly, normal working people like the rest of us and I have a feeling that if you are nice to them, they'll be nice to you too.

  The doctor is fine but the office staff is AWFUL!!! They could seriously care less about the patients that come in. They are terribly rude. We like the doctor but are switching because the office staff is so unpleasant. When someone is sick the last thing they want to deal with is someone being rude. If you call to ask a question or need to leave a message for the doctor they act like you are a huge inconvenience. Dr. Martin operates off Christian principles, you would think that he would expect his office staff to operate the same way. There is some disconnect there because those ladies have absolutely no compassion for the sick as they come in for their visits.
